How do I get started with Eagle?

Once a business owner finds their way to us, through the recommendation of a friend, colleague or professional acquaintance, we begin with a complimentary consultation. This meeting might also include the referring party, who can help shed light on the business owner’s needs.

During this meeting, we ask many questions in order to get an idea of how the business is running and how that fits with the owner’s needs, wants and goals. After we have a solid understanding of these factors, we can explain the profit, value, and wealth gaps and how they relate to the business and owner.

The next step is to calculate these gaps. Readers will recall that the profit, value, and wealth gaps are the difference in where your business is now versus how it can perform with all business drivers improved to their peak levels.

Calculating these gaps involves gathering financials and tax returns. If a client has not already completed our Altitude Assessment, they do so at this time. Once we have gathered and analyzed the data, we present a gap analysis for the client. This is done at a second in-person meeting and is still considered part of our complimentary consultation process.

The analysis will reveal value opportunities, and we can build on what we’ve learned by discussing potential exit options and timing. It’s at this point we can make our relationship with a client official through a prepared engagement letter and begin the real work.
