August 12, 2026
For much of 2026, we have been devoting the Navigator to explaining each of the six indicators of personal readiness: identity, mindset, balance, capital, legacy and, for this month, awareness. Each indicator requires work to understand and assess, then a business owner can incorporate this knowledge into how they plan for their future as well as how they operate day to day.
What does legacy mean as personal indicator, and how does it affect readiness?
July 16, 2026
In our last Navigator we looked at capital, the fourth of our six personal indicators of readiness. This month we examine legacy. At first glance, this indicator might seem like a heavy topic. Legacy can be an intimidating word. We often associate it with a eulogy, not business growth. Having a clear post-exit vision about what you want your personal and business legacy to be will help drive your personal growth and determine which goals are imperative to achieve.
What do you mean by capital, and how does it affect personal readiness?
June 9, 2026
This month has been an exciting one for all of us at Eagle Corporate Advisors, as we have launched Chuck Mohler’s long-anticipated book, “Unlocking the Door to Freedom: A Proven Path to Real Business Value and a Clearer Future.”
What does balance mean as a personal indicator for readiness?
May 14, 2026
How do you spend your time outside of work? If your first reaction was to think, “What time outside of work?” then you’ve got a balance issue.
Part of personal readiness is balance, which means intentionally building a life outside your business that restores your energy and perspective. Without activities and time away from work, a business owner’s world slowly shrinks — and this tunnel vision affects other personal indicators like identity, mindset, and awareness.
What factors into the right “mindset” to exit a business?
April 17, 2026
Have you looked at our Beyond Soaring Index yet, to assess your personal readiness for exiting a business? Like our Altitude Assessment, this requires no commitment as it just provides you with insight. In developing this new tool, we found it useful to break the concept into six categories: Identity, Mindset, Balance, Capital, Legacy, and Awareness.
What does “Identity” mean when it comes to personal readiness?
March 11, 2026
Last month we introduced our Beyond Soaring Index, a new online assessment that takes around 15 minutes to complete. We designed it to measure six personal indicators that determine an owner’s readiness to exit their business.
What are the six indicators of personal readiness?
February 11, 2026
We work with many owners who are ready to exit their business and need help preparing it for market. What some don’t realize is that the reverse can happen too: What happens when a business is ready to go to market, and the owner isn’t ready to let go?
Why is the Navigator called the Navigator?
January 11, 2026
This month we celebrate seven years of the Navigator. Our first monthly issue debuted in January 2019 to motivate, educate, and answer common questions about what we do.
One question we often get is “Why the Navigator?” This month we’ll explain the deeper meaning behind that title and why it works for us.
What have you gained over the course of 2025?
December 9, 2025
The end of the year is a good time to revisit the ideas of the gap and the gain, as presented by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy in “The Gap and the Gain: The High Achievers’ Guide to Happiness, Confidence, and Success.” Many business owners compare themselves to an idealized future version of themselves, always measuring how far they are from that ideal. Worse yet, they compare themselves to idealized versions of others presented on social media or elsewhere.
Who are Eagle’s competitors, and how do they differ?
November 13, 2025
Typically, when a business or service wants to stand out, they show how they differ from other companies doing the same thing. We can’t really do that, as there aren’t many companies doing the same things we do at Eagle Corporate Advisors. There’s also no magic set of search terms that will bring you to our doorstep, so many business owners remain unaware of the sector we occupy — until they are referred by a friend who has seen us in action.
When is a good time to start working with Eagle?
October 17, 2025
The hard-push sales pitch for when you should contract with a vendor is always “yesterday!” We work with business owners more as partners than vendors, so our answer is a bit more nuanced.
What is my expected ROI for working with Eagle?
September 11, 2025
As fall approaches and kids go back to school, mothers and fathers everywhere are looking forward to all the new things their child will learn and the new friends they’ll make. Other parents are most excited about not having to pay for daycare, or getting the freedom to go see a movie in the middle of the day. To put it another way, parents are interested in the academic, social, and financial ROI of the new school year.
What are the benefits I’ll see with Eagle now — and later?
August 14, 2025
Who remembers the candies Now and Laters? Their namesake appeal was that you could enjoy some now and look forward to the rest later. Even in grade school, we all understood the value of something that benefits you immediately and then also down the road.
What collaboration with Eagle looks like
July 10, 2025
At Eagle Corporate Advisors, collaboration means becoming a true extension of your team. Unlike a standard team member, though, we are solidly focused on accelerating value and preparing a company for a successful transition. This work will take many forms, from analysis to education to execution, and we handle the heavy lifting.
What happens when a new client decides to work with Eagle?
June 11, 2025
As advisors, one of the things we are most proud of is that many of our new clients come to us as referrals from professionals who know us and have worked with us. A recommendation is the highest compliment someone can give, and it helps establish a level of trust with new clients right away.
